Challenges and out from your comfort zone!

Well, what a day today has been.

Having now moved to Glaramara activity centre, near to Honister Slate Mine, today was all about taking part in some activities and filming as part of our final project.
We started off after breakfast with some gorge scrambling or Ghyll scrambling as it is known here in the lakes. This is a case of making your way from the top of a gorge to the bottom through the more difficult route of the stream/river. This involved scrambling, sliding, jumping and even belly flopping to reach the bottom. Hard work you say, fun I say though a little cold and wet is well worth the final result 😊
Then it was moving on to archery, orienteering and corakle building (small raft building for the uninitiated), which consists of making 'something' that floats from plastic pipes, tarpaulin and sticky tape. I managed to stay dry which was not quite the case for some oft teammates.
Overall, a great day had by me and hopefully my colleagues agree. Roll on reflection 😁 and talking over our storyboard.
